Volunteer Ministers – LDS/Scientology

The wide range of volunteer opportunities within churches is one of the reasons people want to join, it makes you feel good knowing you’re helping people and communities. That is the purpose of churches in my opinion, to help one another, build strong communities and bring families together.

Mormons formed the Helping Hands program in 1998.

Scientology formed the Volunteer Ministers around 1976 but brought the movement up to speed in the mid to late 90′s when the yellow shirts, backpacks and yellow tents were organized to easily identify volunteers as Ministers of Scientology.
