Former Jehovah Witness Goes Undercover To Rescue Her Daughter

Nancy Sage was devoted Jehovah Witness for 40 years. Her husband was an elder for 15 years. While in the church, they noticed many discrepancies within the leadership….mainly that they had become corrupt.

In 1983 they decided to resign from the church. However, their daughter remained a devout follower.

What happened next is a story that took years of devotion, and a mother’s love for her daughter. Molestation, deception, and treachery is what her daughter faced while encapsulated in the organization, and she wasn’t allowed to talk to her  mother since they had left the church.

Nancy decided to go  to Tennessee to rescue her daughter, but never got to her see her. However, a local newspaper got wind of her story and learned how she was being denied access to see her daughter, and ran the following article on Mother’s Day.

Examiner article for Nancy Sage

The article produced an upset with the local community, which put pressure on the church, and made even more difficult to reach her daughter.

What Nancy did next can only be described as a mother’s love for her daughter….listen to the interview below to hear the details.

New Feature Film Documentary – Growing Up in Jehovah Witness

A new feature length documentary – Truth Be Told is said to debut on March 27th at Cobble Hill Cinemas located in Brooklyn Heights. The theater is located in a neighborhood occupied by large numbers of Jehovah Witness followers and is about 2 miles from the headquarters of The Watchtower Organization.

The Watchtower Organization has been experiencing a mass exodus of it’s members over the past several years and the producers aim to “lift the veil on the seemingly benign Jehovah’s Witnesses religion to expose a profit-driven, isolationist culture characterized by fear, totalitarian corporate leadership, intellectual and spiritual intimidation, suspension of critical thinking, failed prophecies, doctrinal inconsistency and improper handling of physical and sexual abuse allegations within the church.”

This organization sounds more and more like Scientology to me.

It looks like a great documentary, check out this 3 minute trailer.
